Physics Computer Services (as well as FAS) recommends Mozilla's Thunderbird e-mail program as a good cross-platform client. It has proven to be a robust and feature-rich program and avoids many of the pitfalls and problems associated with e-mail clients such as Outlook and Entourage. Coupled with the fact that it is available on all our supported platforms - Windows, Mac and Linux - Thunderbird has become our client of choice when making a recommendation.
Please note: To save yourself headaches later, please check under Preferences -> Composition -> General and make sure "Forward messages" is set to 'Inline' and not 'As Attachment'.
