Sub-Folders in Thunderbird

NOTE: These instructions are relevant to Mozilla Thunderbird. While they may also work for other e-mail clients, we support and recommend only Mozilla Thunderbird in this respect.
To create sub-folders within Your Physics IMAP account:
- In the left-hand pane, click on the very top link of your Physics account. (this links is whatever you called the account when you set up Thunderbird. Probably 'Physics' or somethign similar.
- Right-click (Mac users can also Ctrl+Click) and select 'New Folder'
- Enter a name for the folder and add a "/" to the end of the name.
Example: Phys101/ - You will now have an expandable folder into which you can place sub-folders.
(The expandable folder itself cannot contain mail, only sub-folders [which can themselves contain mail]).
